Sit With-Matthew 19:14 Original

This Matthew 19:14 series, in no way toned down my bear obsession. I was definitely too excited with how adorable these turned out. Though they gave some trouble in the beginning, and I had to let go of the outcome, and just enjoy the painting process. This little one is named James, and I have always thought that he, and his brothers, would be so cute hanging in a children’s nursery. It’s this thought that inspired their scripture of Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me….” Even though these paintings were inspired for actual children, adults can lean into the fact that we are all God’s children. And we are all welcome to sit with Him.

This is a one-of-a-kind original painting — acrylic and charcoal on canvas, 14" x 14", painted in 2025.
