Rest With-Matthew 19:14 Original

My bear obsession has been with me for most of my life at this point, so it’s no surprise this Matthew 19:14 series is one of my personal favorites. Though it gave me some trouble when I was creating it and had to reach the point of, just starting the painting, and stop worrying about the outcome. The little bear’s name is Brady, and he, along with his brothers, were painted with the thought that they’d be perfect for a nursery. And this is what led to their scripture being “Let the little children come to me…” Matthew 19:14a. Even as adults we are all children of God and are all welcome to rest in His presence.

This is a one-of-a-kind original painting — acrylic and charcoal on canvas, 14" x 14", painted in 2025.
