Going and Coming- Deuteronomy 28:6 Original

This is a one-of-a-kind original painting — acrylic and charcoal on canvas, 10” x 20”

Since before I can remember my dad has prayed over my family every night. And it is virtually the same prayer each night. “Going and Coming-Deuteronomy 28:6” came to represent a line from his prayer “that we would be blessed going out and coming in…” this is pulled from the scripture Deuteronomy 28:6. The painting became about patience as well, in a very literal way— by painting each petal’s gradient individually. While this took me a considerable amount of time to do, the result was worth it in the end. And now may all these many petals be a reminder of the blessings God gives when we come and go from home.
