“Guiltless Grace-Psalms 55:22” explored the idea of being overwhelmed at the same time as being excited about something. The buildings represent the overwhelming feelings I couldn’t seem to give to God while traveling in cities across Europe. The wildflowers represent the instant relief I felt as we left the cities behind and drove through the countryside. Coming home, I felt guilty that I wasn’t able to give the stress to God. He used this painting to show me that I must give myself grace, especially when experiencing new things, like leaving the U.S. for the first time. Though this is not easy, Psalm 55:22 tells us to cast our cares on Him because He will care for us. It doesn’t matter how many times we have to give the same thing to Him; He’ll be there with grace.
